The internet was supposed to decentralize information, empower individuals, and create unlimited freedom of expression. Instead, it optimized itself around attention. Every platform evolved toward the same goal: retention.

Algorithms learned what kept people scrolling. Outrage outperformed nuance. Validation created dependency. Identity became performance. Emotion became infrastructure. The system stopped reflecting human behavior and began shaping it. 

​

That convergence became THE FEED.

​

$CTRL exists inside that world. Not as an escape from it, but as a reflection of it. 

​

$CTRL is a dystopian satire project built around immersive worldbuilding, evolving lore, interactive experiences, memes, archives, and internet mythology inspired by modern online life.

​

The project explores doomscrolling, engagement farming, algorithmic behavior shaping, online identity, and the increasingly blurred line between digital systems and human thought. 

​

$CTRL exists somewhere between internet satire, social commentary, immersive fiction, meme culture, and digital worldbuilding. 

​

The long-term goal of this project is to create a fully recognizable internet mythology surrounding THE FEED: a fictional system that feels increasingly believable, self-aware, entertaining, and unsettling as it expands across platforms and different formats. 

​

The deeper users go into THE FEED, the harder it becomes to tell where the joke ends.
